In this online meet-up we will welcome two special guests: Stefan Bauer and Bobby Iliev.

Stefan Bauer, creator, consultant and co-author of the book 'Laravel secrets', will talk about Patterns, Tests and Encapsulation. And together we will build a real world example. Stefan will show you how you can encapsulate things that makes it more clear instead of putting everything in one place. He will show you, how we can build a connection to a newsletter provider, which is disabled locally by using the Null Design Pattern, testing it by using PHPUnit and making it interchangeable by using interfaces, the IoC container and injecting dependencies as well as scalar configuration values.

Bobby Iliev, system administrator, web developer and Laravel enthousiast, will speak about PestPHP, which is an elegant testing framework. So when you want to learn more about testing, then this talk is for you! Pest is a Testing Framework with a focus on simplicity. It was carefully crafted to bring the joy of testing to PHP.
