PHP Oxford meetupThis month will be a video meet up. You will see the link in meetup.com when you RSVP to this event. Click the link 5mins before (i.e. around 19:25) and grant your browser permission for cam/mic, then you can 'knock' and we'll be able to 'let you in'.
We are joined by Mark Harrison who will be talking about "What a difference architecture makes".
"The PHPPerformance project does "the same thing, lots of time, lots of different ways.
The purpose is to see which of these ways is the quickest.
They include things like:
- Running things in a loop in a page
- Running things in a loop in a class
- Getting things from memcached
- Getting things from REDIS
- Getting things from MySQL
- Getting things from a web services URI (running in the same docker-compose set)
Mark will be talking us through the project, demoing it, and sharing some of his findings."
If you'd like to present a lightning talk (5-20 minutes), please get in touch!
