Security Awareness for developers (day 2 of 2)

UPDATE #5: We're going to start again! This meetup has been postponed for a year and a half and is now finally going to take place. :)
In consultation with Senet, it has been decided, given the number of registrations, to keep these in smaller groups spread over 2 days.
This lecture will be held for 15 people on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 September.
That's why a call to everyone who has already registered: see if you can and if so, if you would like to join us on Thursday. We have more registrations than possible, so please unsubscribe if you can't.

UPDATE #4: Alas we needed to postpone this meetup again. The next scheduled date is after the summer holidays. Hopefully things are back to normal enough that live meetups are possible. Till then!
PS: The JetBrains licenses are all raffled off.

UPDATE #3: Needless to say we are still bounded by the COVID-19 outbreak. We postponed this meetup multiple times instead of cancelling it, to not to lose the RSVP's and keep everybody in the loop.
Now we rescheduled it to it's original planned date in March but one year later. We hope we can start organizing meetups again in 2021. Let's all hope we will see each other in good health and with all the energy we have seen at our meetups.

UPDATE #2: Due to the ongoing and increasing corona outbreak we decided to cancel this meetup until further notice.
We keep you informed via the Meetup platform. Stay healthy!
The meetup will be kept scheduled to maintain the RSVP- & waiting list.

UPDATE: Due to the corona virus spreading around in Brabant at this moment, we decided to postpone the meetup to Wednesday April 22th.

The lecture:
Hacks, data leaks, ransomware...you hear it more and more in the news. To properly protect your company and/or your software, you must know where the vulnerabilities are. And how can you find out better than to try hacking yourself?

In this session we look at how hackers work and which tools you can use to hack (your own) applications. We also look at the most common types of vulnerabilities, how you can practice exploiting them and what you can do to prevent them.

Last but not least, some tips to keep your colleagues sharp by applying Social Engineering.
