Since I was a kid I always admired how smart the Google search engine was. Actually searching is one thing I love about technology. When I am in a big store and I am searching for a concrete product and I have no idea where it is.

And my experience with Elasticsearch made me wonder why people aren’t using it to solve their Search problems.

So the main reason for building Sigmie is to “scratch my own itch” and easily set up searches even for smaller projects.
